BOOK-I(NCERT)
1. Physical World == 1 hour
2. Units and Measurement == 3 hours
3. Motion in a Straight Line == 3 hours
4. Motion in a Plane == 4 hours
5. Laws of Motion == 4 hours
6. Work, Energy and Power == 4 hours
7. System of Particles and Rotational Motion == 5 hours
8. Gravitation == 3 hours
BOOK-II
9. Mechanical Properties of Solids == 3 hours
10. Mechanical Properties of Fluids == 3 hours
11. Thermal Properties of Matter == 3 hours
12. Thermodynamics == 4 hours
13. Kinetic Theory == 3 hours
14. Oscillations == 3 hours
15. Waves == 3 hours
A total of 48 Hours is required to complete basic Syllabus.
One may ascribe the same amount of hours added extra for preparation of competitive exams.
For competitive exams, past papers and HCV will be referred to regularly.
For each hour of class time, atleast two hours of homework can be expected.
These hours are a general guideline and actual class time consumed depends on the student's pace of learning and whether or not he/she finishes the homework on a regular basis.
Homework not done leads to a larger amount of class hours consumed as practice sessions or study hours.
