Most people describe life as a journey. I would like to define life as a ship.
The question we now have is WHAT MAKES OUR SHIP SAIL OR SINK?
Let us first discuss how to sink our ship. The fastest way to sink our ship is to drill a hole in the hull of the ship preferable in the bottom. Allow some time & you would have successfully sunk your ship.
There are two ways to drill the hole in the bottom part of the hull of the ship.
First, while sitting inside the ship & pulling a drill gun which is plugged into the electric socket of the ship. You would be dry, the drill gun is relatively light (without really, really heavy batteries to hold the electricity to drill the thick metallic bottom of the ship). You have gravity on your side as you are going to be pressing hard. Your weight will be on the drill gun.
Second, You carry a very powerful drill gun which has a built in battery to support the drilling process. Wear a scuba diving suit. Get your oxygen cylinder with you. Swim to get under the ship. Start drilling the hole.
Let us compare the two processes.
In the first process, you are dry. In the second process, you are totally wet.
In the first process, you are safe as you are inside the ship. In the second process, you have a high risk to your life and very high chances of suffocation & drowning.
In the first process, the power is coming from the power generated in the ship. In the second process, you need to carry your own power for the drill gun in the form of a battery.
In the first process, the drill gun in light, you are pressing down & gravity is on your side. In the second process, your drill gun is heavy, you are pressing upward which means it is going to hurt your arms & shoulders & gravity is against you which means, you need to keep yourself afloat & keep drilling upwards.
In the first process, your drill gun is dry & really working fast. In the second process, your drill gun is totally wet, which means it will be really really difficult for you to drill a hole under the hull of the ship from underwater.
In the first process, you are dry. In the second process, you are totally wet.
EVERY NEGATIVE EMOTION YOU HARBOUR, BE IT HATE, ANGER, JEALOUSY OR ANY OTHER NEGATIVE EMOTION, EACH OF THEM IS A HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHIP AND STARTS SINKING THE SHIP OF YOUR LIFE SOONER OR LATER.
It is far more difficult for any other person to mess up with your life as compared to your messing up your life with your negative emotions
Life is full of choices. You may choose to react positively or negatively. When someone overtakes you on the street in a NOT SO SUITABLE WAY, you may choose to chase the person & in the process meet with an accident (God Forbid). Or, go your way and forget the negative emotion. If you choose to chase, you may possibly have a bitter emotion lingering in your mind & when you reach home, the irritation the earlier incident caused could possibly lead to the mess up of your relationship with your family members & friends.
Remember one thing always, it is easy for you to sink because you do not have control on your emotions. The person who disturbed you by wrong driving, is not related to you, has no clue how you would mess up your life. That person can not imagine that just by their improper usage of the road, you messed up your own life.
STOP DRILLING HOLES IN YOUR SHIP
