I have a D7000, D7100 both the cameras. I would say you can simply go with D7000 given its proven legacy in photography. Sometimes my D7000 images look better than my D7100. If you are a enthusiast, and want to get serious into photography, and dont want to keep upgrading cameras, choose D7000 instead of D5300. the D7000 offers more flexiblity in hand-reach buttons rather than fiddling out with the screen or dials. Remember, D7000 is used by several Professionals. read less

Nikon D7000 is no doubt a very good camera in this budget. But if you are a beginner and started photography as a hobby then you should go with any beginner camera like Nikon D5200 or Canon 700D. If you are well familiar with all camera controls please go with Nikon D7000.

The D7000 is 18 MP and D7200 is 24MP so the choice is yours for a few extra thousands, but don't be in any hurry, call me again to discuss, thanks

To my knowledge, SLRs ranges between Rs. 35 K to Rs 80 K performs the same (differences only in additional features). Only sensor and lens responsible for the quality. So it's better to look for good quality lens.
