1. Who is this course for? This course is for anyone (of anyone above the age of 10 years) who wishes to start learning Mandarin Chinese language. 2. What will the students learn? The students will learn the basics of Chinese - the pronunciation, greetings, everyday phrases, the basics of reading and writing the Chinese characters, numbers, days, dates, time, expressing your likes, dislikes, and dialogues at everyday situations/places like - buying at the market, ordering meals at a restaurant, etc. The focus of this course will be on speaking, listening & reading, which is the first step to learning the language. The Chinese characters, which are like logos, will be introduced in this course, and you will learn to read up to 50 basic Chinese Characters. On completion of the course, there will be an examination, and a certificate for the Beginner's Level will be issued by The Oriental Dialogue. Class assessments, activities, movie clippings and games will also be a part of the sessions making them enjoyable and engaging. 3. Is there anything that the students need to bring to class? The students just need to bring a notebook and a pen. We will be providing all the material like textbooks, audios, videos, worksheets, etc.
