SAT Dates

It is very important to decide when to give the SAT exam. The timing is important as giving SAT exam is only the first step to study abroad. Hence, the SAT dates should be planned based on following criteria:

• Which colleges the student is interested in. The list and details of colleges can be found here – college search website.
• In addition to SAT, international students (Indians) have to take TOEFL as a measure of their proficiency in English language.
• If you are not satisfied with your TOEFL or SAT score, there should be enough time left for retests within the same academic cycle.
• It also depends on when you will be applying, If you’re applying to be admitted for Fall 2014, the application will be due in December 2013 or January 2014. So SAT and TOEFL scores should be available before that
• Once the scores are obtained, students have to research and submit the applications to the colleges. This is an involved process which is time consuming, in terms of decision making and application filling and deadlines.
