Selenium 3.0 and Selenium 2.0 are different versions of the Selenium automation testing tool. The main differences between these versions are:
1. WebDriver API: In Selenium 2.0, the WebDriver API was introduced as a replacement for the Selenium RC API. Selenium 3.0 continues to use the WebDriver API, but with some changes and improvements.
2. Firefox Driver: In Selenium 3.0, the Firefox Driver has been updated to use the GeckoDriver instead of the old Firefox Driver. This change was necessary to support the latest versions of Firefox.
3. IE Driver: In Selenium 3.0, the Internet Explorer Driver has been deprecated and is no longer supported. This is because Microsoft has stopped supporting the older versions of Internet Explorer.
4. Edge Driver: Selenium 3.0 introduces support for the Microsoft Edge browser through the Edge Driver.
5. Mobile Testing: Selenium 3.0 includes better support for mobile testing, with improvements to the Android and iOS drivers.
6. Java version: Selenium 3.0 requires Java 8 or higher, while Selenium 2.0 supports Java 6 and higher.
Overall, Selenium 3.0 includes several improvements and new features compared to Selenium 2.0, with better support for modern browsers and mobile testing.
