Article "The" should be pronounced in two ways.

1. Say as "thuh" when the word starts with consonants. Eg. The pineapple. (Thuh).

2. Say as "thee" when the word starts with vowels. Eg. The orange. (Thee).

Special case:

When you want to emphasis a particular word, you can say it as "thee" even though the word starts with consonants.

Eg. I need you to do the work now. ( Here in this sentence you can pronounce it as "thee")
