Like every journey, the journey to becoming fluent in English begins with a purpose. Our daily commute to work, college or school has a purpose. We undertake these journeys because the underlying purpose compels us to. What is it that forces us to get up every day and pack our bags and head out? The urge to earn a living, support our family, indulge in the comforts of life, gain an education.
Identify your purpose. Ask yourself this question - Why do I want to be able to speak in English fluently? How will it add value to my life? Will it allow me to earn more money? Lead a more comfortable life? Or something more profound like - will speak English fluently make me more confident? Will I be able to attract the attention of my peers and my superiors? Will I be able to claim to the world that I too have thoughts and feelings?
If the only thing preventing you from exploring a new side to yourself is your reluctance to spend a few thousand rupees, then I am sorry for you. Permit yourself to commit to a new journey which will reveal a more confident and sophisticated version of yourself.
Don't do it for the world around you. Do it for yourself. Do it to feel excellent about yourself.
All the best!
