I agree with the import of the axiom that "we have two ears and one tongue". More than listening, to my mind, it is the introspection over what we got to hear that is more important. We may use the tongue to issue a response; or we may prefer to keep quiet. Hope this helps.

That is really good and we should pick it nicely but most of the problems happen because we listen less and assume that this will be the next statement and create an UN-necessary issue.

Philosophically, yes. Mathematically though, considering A hears 100 words and consequently speaks 50, B would be hearing 50 and speaking 25, and so on and so forth! Eventually, for all practical purposes, the world would be silent! Just saying! :P
