Be it an institution, or be it an individual, every entity in the teaching domain has their own "brand value", also known as a "USP" - short for "Unique Selling Proposition". Some entities rely on constructing huge buildings and hiring highly polished student counselors to dispense advice on the best course option, never mind the quality of training that is in reality imparted. On the other hand, some entities, such as myself - sit before a webcam and use a headphone - and impart training of the highest quality. My net advice is to not go in for the aggressive marketing tactics deployed by entities who are in the business to earn money. Instead, track down teaching faculty members and talk to them. This will help you assess your comfort level with them. Hope this advice helps. Sanjay Agrawal read less

That is a tricky question. There are multiple variables, some of which include the tutor's depth of knowledge, ability to communicate and the student-teacher camaraderie! The easiest way to ascertain whether you are in competent hands is to request a demo class. Check the teaching style. Check if they understand your specific requirement. See if they are too lenient, too rigid, too professional for your choice. Evidently, there is always a chance of a fallout later on, but initially you have to trust your own judgement and sense of evaluation regarding whether the particular tutor or institute will do you any good. read less
