1. Always breath. Don't hold your breath until you are asked to.
2. Do not resist at the time of stretching. And do not overstretch.
3. Always observe your breath, body and mind.
4. It's recommended to take a few seconds to break after each asana.
5. Shavasana is important. So, never skip it.
6. Like any other physical exercise form, yoga also should be started with a warm-up or sukshma vyayam.
7. Do not do the same types of yoga all the time. Different yoga postures target different muscles in the body.
8. Take some time to correct your posture. It might be boring for some people, but without proper alignment, you can damage your body.
