Behavior is need driven. As the biological health essentially includes physical and mental wellness they can influence the personality of an individual organism. Attempt to manipulate human activity is both dangerous and often fruitless. But supporting one health ie. optimal health for Man, Animal and Nature (ie. harmony of body systems with environment) can be rewarding. Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), a pioneer in the study of personality, developed some of the most influential theories in modern psychology and psychoanalysis. His division of the mind into the conscious and unconscious components has driven research on the brain into very specific directions. According to Freud every person is born with an instinct for crime (which he believes, buds out of desire to get what one wants). Normally a new born baby is brought up in an ambience of positivity. It has instinct driven demands for pleasure (a desire to remain in comfort zone). As it grows the child is moderated by frequent No�s /dont�s as part of parenting. During schooling peers in class & community prepare them to understand how to match their own needs with that of others. This is the stage of personality forming or morality. Children born in some deprived social groups (Urchins, orphans or the rich living in isolation of public school regimen) grow without an opportunity to go through the stages of normal mental development aforementioned. As parenting and moderation may not reach them they struggle to fit themselves in the society. Consequently their Theory of Mind (ToM) may emerge different from mainstream society. read less
