To face and interview, buy C FAQ by Steve Summit. Along with this, you should have "Let us C" by Yashwanth Kanitkar to play with pointers, and "ANSI C" by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie.

The Best Book I have seen so far for C Programming at Core Level with Nice visualisation and many good examples with smiple methods is "Head First Series with C Language". Please do not use any other books. Many books means more confusion. Thanks!
