Resolution refers to that part of the story where the main problem is resolved or worked out. In the story, 'Angry River' by Ruskin Bond, the resolution comes with the acceptance of the loss and devastation caused by the flood and also stoic acceptance of the death of Sita's grandmother. Sita and her grandfather endure tremendous misery but have the indomitable will and courage to start anew.
Sita is helping her grandfather rebuild their mud hut.
Sita planting the mango seed at the place where the peepul tree used to be, shows that they are ready to move on with life, leaving the personal tragedies behind. The return of Krishan , who is a symbolic of the godhead , seems to indicate that there is some hope for the future.
