Please find the 5 idioms which can be used in the Business environment. These idioms will help you to sound more serious, authoritative and educated.

1. Bottom Line: The central issue of a discussion, the main point.

Example: My friend wants to open an Institute in Lucknow. However, the bottom line for me is that we need more research before I invest any money.
 
2. Call on (someone) to speak: To ask someone to speak, to give someone permission to speak at a meeting.
 
Example: The chairman called on me to speak at the meeting. 
 
3. Get off the ground: To make a successful beginning
 
Example: We were unable to get the new product off the ground but we will try again next year. 
 
4. In the red: To be losing money, to be unprofitable
 
Example: The company has been in the red since the price of oil began to rise rapidly.
 
5. A number cruncher: An accountant, someone who works with numbers
 
Example: My new employee is a good number cruncher and I believe, he will grow leaps and bound in my organization.
 
Practice these idioms at least 3 times a day for 2 days followed by once a week for 3 weeks to get them printed in your brain.
