IELTS for Migration
IELTS is an International English language testing System. It is a standardised test that measures the English language proficiency of non- native English language speakers who want to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is required for study, work or migration in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US.
IELTS is the only secure English language test accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for visa clients applying outside and inside the UK.
IELTS tests can be taken at accredited test centers throughout the world. Currently, there are more than 1000 centers, in over 140 countries. There are up to 48 test dates available per year. Each center offers tests up to four times a month. The IELTS academic is available on all 48 dates per year and IELTS general training is available on 24 dates per year. IELTS is required for permanent residency in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK.
To apply for PR you would have to take the IELTS general exam. This test is designed to assess English language skills at all levels.

On a scale of 1 – 9, and you will be awarded an overall band score. You can score whole (e.g., 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half (e.g., 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) bands in each part of the test.
Your overall band score may be crucial if you intend to emigrate.
