This course introduces the student to advanced techniques in studio lighting and their creative applications. The course focuses on the use of artificial lighting techniques for studio lighting set-ups in addition to specific lighting techniques for portraiture and still life. You will learn the ins & outs of lighting used by todayâ??s photography professionals. Youâ??ll be schooled in light properties and light modification, and how to configure lights to adaptively capture the pictures you want at photography shoots. This course is extremely hands-on. Youâ??ll be shooting alongside your mentor, using his lighting equipment and guidance, and going through various on-location shooting scenarios. The best way to learn and retain information is by doing, and that is exactly what youâ??ll experience in this course. The emphasis is on the development of new technical skills central to the production and advancement of the studentâ??s work. Projects are set which focus on the production of photographic images for contemporary visual art works.
