Hi, The Japanese language has five levels like JLPT N5, N4, N3, N2 and N1. If we talk about the N5 level, it includes scripts, reading, writing and listening to the Japanese language. It's an 80-100 hours course, and the book I refer to is "Minna no Nihongo", which covers 1- 25 chapters. Same for N4...

For job purposes, you should go at least till N3.
Thanks!

From my perspective, each student has different learning skills, so some can achieve their target in 2-3 year; on the other hand, some take 3-4 year for the same.

IT Professional and Japanese Tutor

Hi, for having a good job in Japan, you should learn at least 3 out of 5 levels in the Japanese language to speak fluent Japanese and get a high job. From N5 to N3, it'll take you around 12 months to complete. So for a good job, you need to complete at least three levels.

Hi!It entirely depends upon a person's ability and the amount of time he/she can dedicate to the language. Usually, it takes at least two years to qualify for the JLPT N2 level.

It would help if you did a basic N5 beginners level, after which you can pursue other levels. An N5 takes about 48 hours if you do it one on one.

It depends on the field you are from. If it is in IT, then the basics of the Japanese language can be taught in 4-5 months, assuming a one-hour session every day of the week and an employable level of language in 9-10 months. If you are from another field, then the trainee will need a higher level of Japanese, ranging from 1.5 to 2 years as in Japan, one is considered employable after N3 or N2 level, which take 1.5 to 2 years. But for one, who wants to learn to speak, the basics of the language will take 2-3 months.
To qualify for JLPT tier 2, if one has absolutely no experience with Japanese then, it takes close to 1.5 years at the least.
