You mean what type of books, not which type.
Anyway, books can only guide you, there are multiple sources available that can elevate your communication skills.
Start off by practising listening without judging, super tough but doable.
Practice mirror work - Google it, you'll find ample examples.
Grab the opportunity to speak at a local event or in the classroom.
The only and only access to performance is action, consistent action.
Finally, practice empathy.

Now, the problem with listening is our brain plays games.
So, to master your listening skills you need to focus on being in command of your brain.
How do this by practising repeating to yourself, exactly what the other person said and then respond to only what's said, not what YOU thought they said.
