This Master Class is for students of B.Tech (any stream), B.Sc. (h) Mathematics, B.Sc. (h) Physics or any faculty members dealing with mathematics subjects at the college or university level.
Basically, in this Master Class,
We would be learning about finding out the general solution of the one-dimensional heat flow equation or diffusion equation.
We will discuss the boundary conditions and initial conditions, their meaning and how to impose them on the solution.
We would also discuss the temperature distribution.
Applications of heat flow equations are in the field of science and engineering.
The heat equation is associated with a partial differential equation. So, while solving the heat equation we will also learn to solve the partial differential equation. For solving this we will use a method of separation of variables.
So, the participants must be aware of the concept of the differential equation, its basics such as degree, order, formation, solution, complementary functions (CF) etc. for a better understanding of the topic.
Participants are advised to carry only a pen and a notebook. All questions related to the the topic will be answered at the end of the Master Class.
