What Is Proxemics? The study of the cultural, behavioural and sociological aspects of spatial distance between individuals.
The study of Proxemics is an essential part of nonverbal communication. Therefore it is a study of body language since you and I don’t make gestures and expression in some places it’s necessary to understand how people treat their space and how that knowledge helps us in social meetings.
People have a particular, rules of maintaining distance when it comes to personal space and territory. While you and I do not measure the distance to keep from others with a measuring tape, as we do not know what is the right distance. Understanding how to use your space is an important step, and it is every human right. It creates the right connections and leaving a good impression. Making a small mistake can lead you into a problematic situation like an insult or annoy someone, and the worst part is that you will be losing your credibility.
