Hi Aiswarya, nice to know that you have learnt classical music and your interest towards playback singing. And yes voice culture training is a good solution when one wants to improve and develop the voice for playback singing. Classical music is about the musical study and voice culture is about the vocal study. Voice Culture Training helps to improve, develop and maintain the voice to sing pleasantly and aesthetically present the musical knowledge of a person. This special focused training helps to meet various singing demands like studio recording, T.V reality shows,Live stage shows,Light music\orchestra stage performance and music teaching. Voice Culture Training is recommended along with Vocal music learning.Through this training one will also get trained on Voice Care. I am undertaking this training at my academy in Iyyapanthangal, Porur. For more details please visit the course section and contact for further details. Best Wishes to you Happy Singing!! Analyzing your question, I feel the following points would be of use to you... 1.. One must be in constant touch with the Learning and Practice part of Carnatic Music....mainly the Akaara Sadhana which in itself has the power to give you enough Voice Culture required to sing any type of vocal music....Cine music, Light music, devotional songs, Bhajans etc. 2.. You have not mentioned in your question as to any break you had had in the learning process of Carnatic Music and the Level upto which you have learnt it. 3,, If you have learnt for two years in your childhood and discontinued it....then You must go through the entire learning process just as a fresher would do..as you tend to loose the Swara Stanas if you do not have a continuous learning process...especially Carnatic Music. 4.. Again...singing always depends on one's own individual talent, aptitute, interest and proficiency and is not much dependant on the learning process. 5.. You have not mentioned your age enabling me to further clarify on your requirement. 6.. ALL THE VERY BEST. You can find "n" number of teachers in Chennai for Carnatic Music. read less
