Till 1st standard, your son studies only basics. Now your child is going through the building up of basics, so it will be hard for them to understand and not have the patience to concentrate. So show him the live example to make him study lively (for example, teach him counting using chocolate or with pencils, and when subtraction, ask to eat the chocolate).
