Has anyone hired a personal trainer from here? Feedback please!
Hello,
I can't provide any feedback on trainers available as I am a trainer myself. But you need to be aware of the following points before you choose a trainer either online or in any of the local gyms.
1. Before the trainer suggests a plan, the trainer must require an initial assessment of your current physical levels and your body composition i.e.
a. Body posture analysis,
b. Body composition analysis,
c. Your cardio-respiratory endurance
d. Strength
e. body flexibility
f. power, co-ordination, speed, agility, balance(if you want to be athletic)
This assessment would require the trainer to ask you about your weight, age, height and pre-medical conditions, doctor's certificate if any and also would ask you to record a few initial exercises to measure your initial fitness level. Based on the findings above, the trainer can only suggest a training plan.
2. Your current nutrition and lifestyle.
3. Following the above two, a trainer can only provide a method for training or nutrition. If not consider a red bid flag, when you find a selection for your trainer.
4. The training program should be as dynamic as possible. Depending on how your body responds. The ideal is to change the plan every 2-4 weeks. Same applies for nutrition to suit your needs.
