In the recent years IDP has been focusing on general common topics in taking the speaking test .As IELTS speaking is conducted in 3 parts  . part 1 is an interrogation rounds in which questions are asked like where is your hometown , tell about your immediate family, tell about your accommodation etc 

In part 2 that is the cue card round common topics are on 

Food 

Books 

Travell destinations 

Tourism 

Gifts given or recieved 

Friends 

The person you want to meet 

Your dream home 

In this 1 minute is given to prepare and then for 2 minutes you have to speak 

In round 3 questions related to round 2 topics are asked again it is in the form of interrogation 

The entire speaking is of 12-15 minutes
