IELTS band score is not the same for all the universities of England. It varies from 6 to 7.5 band, depending on the university to which you're applying. So, it is suggested that you visit the specific university you wish to apply for and then check the "requirement for international students" section.

Also, if you are opting for higher academic programmes such as PhD, then one of the competitive exams like IELTS, GRE, TOEFL, etc is a compulsion aiming 70-80% in scores. While for bachelors minimum 6 bands is required.

Although you may proceed to file with 6 band in two modules and 5.5 in one and 5 in another, there're few chances that you would have to face an Embassy interview then, and you might not clear it. But next time, you may get a visa. So to avoid all this hassle, I would suggest you score min. 6 in each or at least in three modules. And few colleges in the UK accept your entry without an IELTS score.
