You can learn MS Excel on Youtube. Whether you are a complete beginner or advanced user of Excel, there are several video tutorials available at every skill level. They teach you everything by making you observe the way in which do things step by step. A number of Youtube channels upload videos for the same, and they are free in most circumstances. You can easily subscribe to any such channel and learn Excel at your own pace. But if that doesn’t help, try getting a teacher for some one-on-one classes

The best way to learn Excel for accounting is by both reading and ding. It is one thing to use Excel; it is another to understand the capabilities that are available to you and attempting to make use of them.
Having an application on which to apply your newly acquired skills is a great way to get started. What may start as a simple project could become a much more sophisticated application in a relatively short period.
To become an expert is to know everything there is to know about Excel. This means reading and doing a lot with Excel. One should read more than a fair share of books and continue to learn every day as software technologies continue to evolve.
Once you become comfortable working with Excel (and VBA for Excel), you will learn to ask questions that will stretch beyond the realm of current common knowledge and tread into the unknown.

It depends on which field of Civil Engineering you want to pursue. There are a couple of courses that might need to take. This differs from one domain to another. If you're opting for structural engineering, then you should have good knowledge in softwares like STAAD, AUTOCAD etc.
In Quality Control and Quality assurance, you can take up practical courses which involve experiments and projects involving testing. There are a number of QC tests, which you should know in detail. Apart from these, you can also read about Infrastructure Finance, Project Finance, Construction Planning and Management.
These topics are fundamentally different from the specialised courses, and it will provide you with a new perspective to see the construction industry.

Of course, you would also be knowing that an ample amount of content is available online. You can refer to many videos, and at the same time you can practice those things as well, Not to be cliche but practise is very important in learning excel. Now coming to the VBA part, it needs some logical thought process and a little bit of programming background. It would be an added advantage if you have some knowledge of programming, but it is not mandatory. The best is the free sources online, you don't have to pay anything and you have the liberty to choose from many sources. If you find some parts to be difficult, you can always find online tutors too.
All the best.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program. That means it's used to create grids of text, numbers and formulas specifying calculations. That's extremely valuable for many businesses, which use it to record expenditures and income, plan budgets, chart data and succinctly present fiscal results.
Microsoft Word is a word processing program designed to make it possible to create a variety of documents that will look the same between different computers and similar on the screen to how they appear on paper. It's used by businesses and individuals to write personal and professional letters, reports for work and school and to take notes on conversations and in seminars and classes. Because it's so widely used, many businesses appreciate that it's possible to send documents created in Word to clients, employees and other business associates without worrying about whether or not they'll be able to open them.
But, unlike MS Word, Excel organises the data into rows and columns, the intersection of which is called a cell. A cell can contain various data forms such as numbers, alphabets, dates, or formulae. It is an efficient tool which helps to organise the data and analyse it with the help of charts, bar graphs, pivot tables etc.
In today’s world, Excel is prominently used in every aspect of life, be it, maintaining personal expenses, or organising a large set of data in an organisation. With the efficiency it possesses, excel has become a necessary tool in every organisation, and every person should have a knowledge of it.
