But if you looking for rapid loss then its always 60:40 i.e 60% is your diet and 40% the physical activity you do, in your case Zumba. Zumba is an intense cardio and my suggestion would be attend no more than 3 classes per week and to alternate this with weights (kettlebell, circuit etc). Above all this, incorporate a healthy lifestyle which includes sleeping on time and for approx 8 hours, cutting away junk/fried or processed food and stick to ghar ka kahana. Binge once a week because we are all humans. Above all, have a positive approach towards life. Hope this answers your question. read less

Yes , definitely..Zumba is calorie burning cardio-vascular workout.It involves both fast and slow dancing so it works like interval training which means it alternates between periods of high and moderate intensity activity which helps to burn more calories. Around 60 to 90 minutes of physical activity is required daily to lose weight but when people don't have a full hour to spare they can break their workout into sessions of at least 10 minutes throughout the day to get the same benefits but to loose weight ,you need to be regular with your workout. At the outset, Zumba fitness is designed to lose calories in any given session.What happens besides those sessions however, has an impact on managing /sustaining those calories burnt . While there could be no such thing as ’early’/ ‘fast’ what there can be , is an earlier/ faster rate to lose weight that is relative to the contributions made by oneself. Therefore the following 3 points can be borne in mind : 1. Keeping a watch on our diet. 2. Keeping a tab on how active we are functionally. 3. Optimising the Zumba session.(how much we are pushing and challenging ourselves within the class) Eventually though with Zumba fitness it’s format brings out the best out of anybody and am sure it will as with you.
